A plain description of the actual policy - what you're buying, how refunds work, and what this service does and doesn't promise.
What you're buying
Scan credits, sold in packs, spent one per scan. Not a subscription - no recurring charge, nothing auto-renews. Credits don't expire. A scan is a deep automated pass - secrets, live dependency vulnerabilities, and an AI review of anything suspicious, with every finding verified against the real file before it counts. It's not a certification. See methodology for exactly what's checked.
Refunds
If a scan fails before it reaches the AI review step (a bad URL, a private or deleted repo, a clone error) the credit is refunded automatically - it never leaves your balance. Once a scan reaches the AI review step, the credit is spent, since that's the point the underlying API cost is actually incurred, regardless of what the scan finds. This is automatic, not something you need to request.
Acceptable use
Scan public GitHub repositories you have a legitimate reason to evaluate. Don't use this service to scrape, abuse, or overload GitHub's or OSV.dev's public APIs beyond what a normal scan requires, and don't attempt to circumvent the credit system.
No warranty
This is an early-stage, solo-operated service provided as-is. A high score is not a guarantee of safety - see what this score is and isn't. To the extent permitted by law, RepoSentry isn't liable for decisions made based on a scan's output.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the service evolves. Purchased credits keep their value regardless of pricing changes made after your purchase.
